Pulwama /May, 16: Three militants, one Army man were on Thursday killed in a pre dawn gunfight in Dalipora area of Pulwama in South Kashmir.
Reports said a joint team of forces including army’s 55 RR and SOG Pulwama cordoned off Dalipora after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area following which hiding militants fired on forces personnel triggering heavy exchange of fire.
Three army men and one civilian sustained injuries at the encounter site as well. Confirming the killing of three militants in gunfight a senior police official said “three bodies have been retrieved whose identification is being ascertained”, adding that “the injured civilian has been identified as Younis Ahmed Dar of Dalipora”.
Meanwhile law enforcing authorities have imposed curfew in main town Pulwama to maintain peace and order and internet services have also been snapped as a precautionary measure.
