Srinagar /May, 14: Fresh landslides and stone shooting at Digdol in Ramban district on Tuesday shut Jammu-Srinagar highway again.
SSP National highway, Jitandar Singh Johar said the road was closed due to fresh landslide and shooting stones in Digdol area due to which thousands of people are stranded,adding that “it is requested that there should be no movement from Jammu to Srinagar on National Highway. Public is requested not to travel on National highway as it will not be possible to allow them on the highway. ”
He said though the road opening operation is in progress but fresh landslides and stone shooting is disrupting the road opening process.
The highway, which connects Kashmir with the rest of the world, was closed for several days during last week due to landslides at Digdol.
