Srinagar: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militant and recovered arms and ammunition from him in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
A police official said that following specific information, a JeM militant, identified as Hilal Naikoo was arrested from Dooru in Anantnag. “Arms and ammunition was also recovered from the militant,” he said, adding investigation is going on to probe his complicity in militant activities.
“The militant is being questioned and more arrests could happen in the coming days,” he added.
