Pulwama: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Dr Syed Abid Rahid Shah Saturday paid a surprise visit to the district hospital to take stock of the quality of health services and care provided to the patients there.
During the inspection, DDC inspected various sections including emergency, operation theatre, ECG unit, Dental section, X-ray, Gynae and Post Operation ward and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients. He also checked the attendance of the medical and Para Medical Staff. DDC urged all the staff members to be punctual and extend their services to patients with devotion and care. While interacting with the patients, DDC enquired about their health conditions and prayed for their early well being. He also inquired about the availability of medicines, diagnostic and other facilities available in the hospital.
Acting upon the complaints regarding long queues of patients at the registration window, DDC assured the needful would be done so that the patients do not face any inconvenience. He stressed on the better sanitation and single window system facilities for the patients.
DDC also visited main market and took stock of construction of dividers in the town for reducing the traffic jam.
