Budgam: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Saturday presided over one-day workshop on preparedness of School Disaster Management Plan under National School Safety Plan.
The workshop was organized by Department of Education at New Conference Hall Budgam.
The workshop was attended by ZEOs, Principals Higher Secondary Schools and Headmasters of government as well as private institutions.
During the workshop, demonstration was given regarding how to tackle the emergencies during any eventuality of manmade or natural disasters.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC appreciated concerned authorities for organizing knowledge based workshops which are useful for emergency requirements. She said keeping in view the vulnerability of natural and manmade disasters that Kashmir valley faces, the concerned should be ready with resources in full gear to tackle it.
During the workshop, the DDC urged for strong motivation and dedication from all concerned towards their profession and ensuring quality education.
Earlier, the DDC convened a meeting to review the various aspects pertaining to smooth functioning of key sectors relating to the education sector.
CEO Budgam presented the detailed view of education sector of the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, CPO, ACR, CEO, DEPO and other concerned.
