Farooq Abdullah offers Friday congregational prayers at Dargah Hazratbal

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday offered congregational Friday prayers at Asaar-e-Sharief Dargah Hazratbal and prayed for everlasting peace and prosperity to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Farooq also participated in the Majlis of Durood- o- Azkaar at the shrine.
While greeting people on the auspicious and holy month of Ramadaan he said, “Muslims should utilize Ramadaan to achieve glory and dignity. It is the month of self purification. It is the month of building patience and endurance. The recognized benefit of fasting results in softness of heart by which it is then ready to obtain the delight and intimate discourse with almighty Allah. I pray to Allah to except our fasts and prayers and salvage our state from gloom to prosperity and peace.”
Meanwhile Party president urged the divisional administration to ensure all basic and effective facilities to the devotees at all the prominent Masjids and shrines in Kashmir. Party president impressed upon the administration to ensure steady supply of water and electricity to people during the holy month.
