Srinagar: A man made an unsuccessful bid on his life inside the courtroom of Principal District and Sessions Judge in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday afternoon by lacerating his left arm.
An official said that the man identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Reshi of Nesbal Sumbal cut his left arm in an open courtroom while the proceedings of a case were going on in the court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Bandipora. He said that Reshi was shifted to Bandipora hospital for treatment from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura in a critical condition.
He said that police has taken cognizance of the case and FIR No. 45/2019 under section 309 RPC has been registered in police station Bandipora. “Further investigation has been taken up,” he said.
