Distt Level Inter School Tournament commences at Udhampur

Udhampur: District Level Inter School tournament for Boys and Girls U/14, U/17yrs in the discipline of Badminton, Wushu and Speed Ball Friday began at Subash Stadium and Mini Stadium badminton hall Udhampur.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur K.L Sharma declared the tournament open which was organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports.
In Badminton U/17years girls’ category, about 40 girls drawn from different educational institutions of the district took part in the tournament whereas in Speed ball under 14yrs & U/17yrs Girls category about 36 Girls of 3 different schools of district Udhampur participated in the tournament.
In Wushu U/17yrs Boys category, about 68 Boys drawn from 10 different institutions of district Udhampur participated in the tournament.
In Badminton U/17yrs girls category, Bhumi Jaswal of Army Public School won by score 2-1 while Aditi Thakur of KC Gurukul school stood runner up.
In Speed Ball U/14yrs girls category, Anushka of Army Public School was the winner while Pratibha of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School stood runner up.
In Speed Ball U/17Yrs girls category, Renu of Army Public School won the match while Sonali of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School came out as runner up. In Speed Ball Solo U/14yrs girls’ category, Sagun of Army Public School was the winner while Bharti of Amardeep High School came out as runner up.
In Speed Ball Solo U/17yrs girls, Sonis of Amardeep High School won the match while Ankusha of Army Public School stood runner up.
In Wushu U/17yrs boys category, Rohit Kumar of Shastri New Academy was the winner while Nitin Kumar of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School emerged as the runner up.
