Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday evening said that it was amazing how quickly the sacrifices of the CRPF men were sold down the river to get a symbolic win.
He was reacting to listing of Paksitan based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar as global terrorist by the United Nation Security Council (UNSC) for his terror role in 1990s IC-814 hijacking, links to Al-Qaedal, Osama and Taliban.
There was no mention of terror in Kashir and no mention of Pulwama fidayeen attack in which 44 CRPF personnel were killed and several injured on February 14 at Awantipora.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter vice president of the National Conference (NC) said “ No mention of terror in Kashmir & no mention of Pulwama. It’s amazing how quickly the sacrifices of the CRPF men were sold down the river to get a symbolic win”.
He also tweeted a tweet of journalist Suhasini Hyder which reads “ UNSC listing refers to Azhar’s terror role in 1990s,IC-814 hijacking, links to Al Qaeda,Osama & Taliban, and call to recruit Jihadis for Afghanistan, but no reference to Pulwama or Kashmir in the listing. US, UK, France original proposal had Pulwama,so it has clearly been dropped”.
Earlier, Omar had tweeted “ Is this true that the listing of #MasoodAzhar as a global terrorist was only possible because all references to Pulwama & terrorism in Kashmir were dropped? “.
