Barabanki: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday alleged that after four phases of polls in Uttar Pradesh, the dreams of the ‘mahamilavat’ SP-BSP alliance were shattered by the voters and now, they were trying to conspire against BJP, by trying to influence the voters for low turnout in the remaining phases.
“The mahamilavat, who were playing Kaun Banega Crorepati in the first four phases, are now playing hide and seek, as people have shown them the mirror,” he said.
“These Opposition parties are now trying to influence the BJP workers not to campaign in this heat wave condition, as the party had already won the polls. Besides, they were also asking the voters not to come out and vote for BJP, as it had already won the elections,” he alleged.
“The Opposition parties are trying to squeeze lemon in a pot of milk, after observing that people have rejected them totally,” he commented.
Addressing an election rally here, Mr Modi alleged that the SP, BSP, and the Congress are known for their corruption and how during their period of rule, different scams were unearthered.
“They even did not spare the Dalit icons, when Smarak scam was done in the BSP regime,” he remarked.
“These Opposition parties have one thing in common and that is corruption. They unite on looting the public money in the name of development and fool the people at the time of elections,” he said.
He said now, all the corrupt have united and their one slogan is to remove Modi.
“During my five-year regime, 3.5 lakh fake companies were closed, while several thousand benami property were seized. People, who have been affected, are raising voice against me and want my ouster,” he said, adding ”This is Modi, who is never afraid and who does not succumb, under any pressure”.
The PM said that his commitment to stand with the poor will continue and work for the country will not stop, under any pressure.
During his speech, Mr Modi had to stop several times due to the shouting of slogans by the youths. He even once said, “Don’t love me so much that I decide to stay back in Barabanki.”
Without taking names, the Prime Minister highlighted corruption in the state, by talking about a political leader, who stole taps and other building material, when asked to vacate a government bungalow.
During the speech, the PM also narrated in detail about the schemes and policies of the Central government, which had benefited the people, particularly the women.
“We have given houses, free LPG gas, power connection, toilets and other basic things on the name of women in a family, which shows our commitment to empower them in the society,” he said.
UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma was present, along with the BJP candidates of four Lok Sabha seats, including Rae Bareli, Mohanlalganj, Barabanki and Faizabad.
Earlier, Mr Modi addressed an election meeting in Bahriach, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present.
On Wednesday, the Prime Minister will attend an election meeting in Gosaiganj of Ambedkarnagar, just on the border of Ayodhya.
