Anantnag/ April,26 : Two South Kashmir towns Anantnag and Bijbehara remained shut on Friday for the second straight day on Friday after the killing of two militants in a gunfight with the government forces in a Bijbehara village Thursday this week.
Reports said that all shops and other commercial business establishments remained closed and passenger traffic was also off the roads. Heavy deployment of government forces were keeping vigil at the sensitive points in both the towns to thwart any law and order disturbance.
Two Hizb ul Mujahideen militants were killed in a gunfight with the government forces in a pre-dawn gunfight in Bijbehara Thursday this week. The slain militants were identified as Safder Amin Bhat (25), son of Muhammad Amin of Zirpara Bijbehara and Burhan Ahmad Ganaie (25) of Malipora Hablish Kulgam.
