Srinagar: United Jihad Council (UJC) chief Syed Salahuddin has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka saying a Muslim can never commit such act in which innocent people are killed.
In a statement issued to GNS, Salahuddin said Islam is a peaceful religion and considers killing of an innocent as killing the whole humanity.
“The way humanity was murdered in bombing on Churches and hotels in Sri Lanka, it can only be termed as barbaric,” he said.
“It seems the attacks are the handiwork of anti-Islam forces aimed at maligning the Islam and Muslims,” he said.
Syed Salahuddin, who is also the chief of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, expressed solidarity with the families of those killed in the attacks.
The UJC chief also paid tributes to Kashmiri armed youth killed in the past week in gunfight with Indian forces.
