Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Finance and Accounts Society (JAKFA) during a meeting held in Jammu the winter capital of the state strongly condemned the assault and manhandling of Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) PHE City Division-1.The members of society in a meeting held under chairmanship of their President Mohd. Rafiq condemned the maltreatment of AAO and further demanded that the report to be furnished by the Committee, constituted for enquiry should be made public and stern action taken against the culprits. ‘Being a criminal offence, the act is highly deplorable for which Govt needs to set a reliable deterrence’, said the JAKFA in a statement issued after the meeting, adding that ‘If such acts continue unabated, to deliver in line with rules shall become highly difficult for the public servants’.
