Bandipora: The third phase of randomization for allotment of polling stations to the poll parties in Bandipora and Sonawari assembly segments was held here on Tuesday under the supervision of General Observer Narayan Chandra Sarkar and District Election Officer (DEO) Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza.

During the randomization 140 polling teams were constituted for Sonawari assembly segment, 143 for Bandipora assembly segment. The polling stations were also allotted to the poll teams with an additional reserve staff of 25 percent.

The polling staff will be dispatched to the respective places on Wednesday and all the arrangements including transport and security has been put in place. During the randomization, micro observers were also deputed at 56 polling stations of the district.

Earlier on April 06, polling stations were allotted to 25 polling teams with a reserve staff of 30 percent in snowbound areas and the staffs were dispatched three days before in view of adverse weather conditions.

Observer Narayan Chandra Sarkar and DEO Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza directed the officers associated with the elections to work with utmost dedication and devotion for successful completion of polls.

Meanwhile, DEO Bandipora chaired the training for magistrates, zonal magistrates and micro observers wherein the trainers informed the participants about the various stages of election process and also informed them about their duties and responsibilities.
