Srinagar: S K Institute of Medical Sciences Soura Srinagar has clarified that the first and only transfusion reaction reported has been that of one patient recently treated at the Institute.
In a statement of clarification a spokesman of SKIMS Soura said that even in the case of first and only transfusion there is no case of mismatched transfusion. Saying that the requisition form , crosss match and reception notes of the blood bank have been check and found in order, the spokesman said “ the post transfusion blood samples of the patient showed no signs of mismatched transfusion”, adding that “ any other transfusion reaction in any patient would also have been picked had it actually happened”. He refutes allegation of any further transfusion reaction in any other patient.
