Ganderbal: General Observer for Kangan and Ganderbal Assembly segments, Rahul Sharma along with District Election Officer (DEO) Hashmat Ali Khan Friday inspected several polling stations in Ganderbal assembly segment to review the arrangements with regard to Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
The Observer was accompanied by AROs, Nodal Officers and other concerned.
The Observer inspected polling stations at Government Kindergarten School B R Pora and Government Boys Secondary School Tullamulla.
General Observer, at these Polling Stations, reviewed the Assured Minimum Facilities which includes the availability of water, electricity, furniture, toilet facility and accommodation for polling staff besides facilities for specially-abled voters. He interacted with the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and enquired about the EPIC distribution status, addition during summery revision and updation besides total voters in concerned polling booths.
General Observer also inspected distribution/collection Centre for Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) and other material related to election and accommodation for polling staff.
Earlier, the Observer visited several training venues including Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Ganderbal and Central University Camps Duderhama wherein Master Trainers are imparting training in handling EVM/VVPATs to polling staff.
The Observer asked the trainees to keenly learn the handling of EVM/ VVPATs to avoid problem on the polling day.
