Srinagar: Mother of senior journalist Riyaz Masroor, 62, passed away on Tuesday after a major open heart surgery at Khyber Medical Institute. People from various sections of society attended her funeral.
Fateh Khwani for the departed soul will be offered on Friday 5th of April at her ancestral residence, Shalpora Alucha Bagh, Srinagar.
Meanwhile Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani also condoled the demise of mother of renowned columnist, writer and BBC correspondent Riyaz Masroor. Geelani in a statement issued on Wednesday prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
