Kathua: The enforcement team of Legal Metrology Department Kathua Wednesday conducted inspection at leading Stationary Stores here at main Bazar Kathua.
During the inspection, it was found that the stationary shops have made sets of Books, Note Books and other unwanted stationary items on the recommendation of various Private Schools which are being forcibly supplied to the parents of the students.
Further most of the stationary material being supplied was not carrying mandatory declarations required under Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules 2011.
On this the team seized such books and stationary items and booked the Book Sellers for possessing and selling packed stationary material and School Bags without mandatory declarations.
The guardians and parents of the students are appealed that in case of any such complaint they can approach the department personally or through email [email protected] for speedy redressal.
