Jammu: The fresh exchange of fire between India and Pakistan armies on Tuesday led to the suspension of cross LoC trade in Poonch area of Jammu region.
Official sources said that in the morning hours Tuesday at around 11:30 am, Pak initiated to unprovoked ceasefire violation by shelling with artillery, mortars and firing of small arms along LoC in Nowshera sector in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir. They said that Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.
Meanwhile, authorities Tuesday suspended cross Line of Control trade from Chakan Da Bagh following fresh escalation in tension on Line of Control. As per officials, fresh exchange of cross border firing took place in Poonch sector on Tuesday morning due to which authorities decided to suspend the trade for security reasons.
Reports said around three dozen of trucks loaded with goods were set to be exported to PaK but the same were called back from immigration center.
