DEO Kishtwar reviews communication, transportation plan

Kishtwar: District Election Officer (DEO), Angrez Singh Rana Tuesday reviewed the communication and transportation plan formulated for smooth conduct of Lok Sabha Elections 2019, here at a meeting.
The plans include pre-poll, Poll and Post Poll, Monitoring & reporting from polling parties to District Control room and transportation of polling staff and election material.
The meeting was attended by SSP, Shakti Kumar Pathak, ADDC, Mohd. Hanief Malik, ASP, ARO 51 &52, DFO Marwah/, Nodal Officer Communication besides Officers from Civil and Police administration.
The meeting held a detailed discussion with the officers regarding fool proof implementation of communication plan, planned dispatch of polling parties, firewood arrangements for security/polling staff at far flung areas.
EVM Management Plan through 25 Zonal Magistrate and 35 sector magistrate was also discussed at length.
The DEO directed the concern officer to ensure the dispatching of Telecom staff with equipments to Marwah, Warwan and Machail on April 8 and complete the same by April 10, 2019.
Nodal Officer, Communication informed the meeting that 118 polling stations out of 376 are communication shadow areas and rely on wireless handset communication.
The DEO directed the concerned to ensure availability of wireless sets at every polling station for uninterrupted communication with polling staff on Election Day.
The DEO directed that GRS/Numberdar/ Chowkidars shall ensure proper arrangements of boarding & lodging for polling staff, while ARO- 51 Kishtwar assembly segment and ARO -52 Inderwal assembly segment were directed to take polling station wise report in this regard from Revenue and RDD Department.
