Srinagar: In continuation with its plantation drive, Forest Department distributed 1000 saplings of various conifer species including Deodar, Kail to a private School management free of cost in Srinagar.
The Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad Gillani informed that during the current plantation season this year, Forest Department has supplied over 23000 saplings for planting in both Government and private schools in Srinagar City under Green Srinagar program involving students of numerous educational institutions.
The event was attended by various officials of forest department and school management.
