Kathua: Acting on specific information, Excise Department destroyed 850 kilograms of Lahan during different raids carried out against illicit liquor in the Excise Range Kathua.
On the directions of the Excise Commissioner, M. Raju and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Jammu, S. Amarjeet Singh, the Excise Team Kathua led by ETO Excise Range Kathua raided the Chakdrab Khan and Chibbachak areas to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
During the raids, more than 850 kilograms of Lahan raw material of illicit liquor, which is highly hazardous and injurious for health was recovered by the raiding team and later destroyed on the spot.
