Srinagar: Two labourers were killed and one was injured after falling from an under-construction building in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Official sources said that some labourers were working at an under-construction building on Sunday. Three of them slipped and fell from the building, resulting in injuries to them. “The injured were immediately taken to a hospital, where two of them succumbed,” they said.
After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their relatives for last rites.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased asked for strict action against the contractor. “We have lodged an FIR in the police station. Police should initiate investigation into the incident and take action against the contractor,” they added.
