Srinagar /March, 25 : BJP’s is has sought disqualification of National Conference Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency for raising “pro-pakistan” slogans to hurt the sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and as well as rest of the country
A letter addressed by BJP state spokesman Altaf Thakur reads “it is to bring to your kind notice that National Conference Candidate from Baramulla parliamentary constituency Muhammad Akbar Lone through his speech resorted to ultimate disrespect to the country by raising pro Pakistan slogan— “Pakistan zindabad” which has hurt the sentiments of people of not only Jammu and Kashmir but also the people of entire India”.
The concluding para of the letter reads “I, BJP State Spokesman Altaf Thakur request you to take serious note of Akbar Lone’s speech the videos of which are available on social media and disqualify him from the candidature of Barmulla LS speeches so that peace and harmony is maintained in the country and Jammu and Kashmir.”
