Sopore/March, 24 : Thousands of people late Saturday evening attended funeral prayers of slain Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant Tahir Ahmad Dar in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district .
Dar was killed along with an associate in a three-day gunfight with the government forces in Warpora area of Sopore on Saturday.
As already reported thousands of people assembled in the Warpora village the native place of the slain militant to offer his funeral prayers.
Eye-witnesses said that a large number of mourners, including women, carried the body of Dar to the martyrs’ graveyard where he was laid to rest.
Reports said his associate, believed to be a non-local, was laid to rest at Sheeri Baramulla.
