Srinagar /March, 22: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was on Friday morning placed under house detention ahead of the Friday’s congregational afternoon prayers after which the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL has called for protests against the custodial death of a teacher of Awantipora area of South Kashmir.
A statement issued by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for one day shutdown and protests for three days against the custodial death of a teacher Rizwan Asad Pandit.
Mirwaiz addresses the gathering at the Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta every Friday.
