Srinagar: The Institute of Engineers J&K State Centre in collaboration with the J&K State Disaster Management Authority Friday organised a program to mark the World Water Day.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, was the chief guest on the occasion.
The DC, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the importance of sustainable management of freshwater resources. He urged the general public to play their part and assist the administration in efforts to keep these important resources clean and make them sustainable. He said it is a collective cause and requires equal efforts from the government and public.
