Jammu/March, 16: Eleven persons travelling in cab were on Saturday killed in a road accident near Kunda nallah in Ramban district.
Reports said a cab carrying passengers from Chaderkote to Rajgarh rolled down into over 500-feet-deep gorge near Kunda nallah in Ramban at 10:30 am, and five people were initially reported killed in the road accident but the death toll mounted eleven with more six injured persons succumbing to their injuries later in the day.
Hospital sources of the at district hospital Ramban confirmed ten deaths in the accident. “All ten were brought dead to DH Ramban,” said an official of district hospital Ramban, adding that ‘a minor who was being airlifted to Jammu also succumbed.’
Rajgarh is a far flung tehsil in Ramban district and is linked with the Jammu-Srinagar highway through a link road.
