PM Modi surrendered to China, Pakistan by delaying assembly elections in JK : Omar
Srinagar /March  14: National Conference Vice President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday accuses of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “surrendering to China, Pakistan and its proxies by delaying the state assembly elections” .
Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Omar wrote “PM Modi surrendered to China on Azhar and surrendered to Pakistan & its proxies by delaying elections in J&K. How can the BJP claim to have been tough on internal security and tough against terror?”.
Omar also targeted senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad over his comment on Rahul Gandhi, who had criticised PM Modi for being “scared of Xi”, Chinese President.
In yet another tweet Omar wrote “Mantri jee, your Government gave Pakistan a small victory when you postponed the Anantnag by-poll in 2017 and a big victory now that you’ve failed to conduct assembly elections. If anyone is giving Pakistan a reason to celebrate it isn’t @RahulGandhi. Look closer to home sir”.
On Wednesday, Chinese government, for the fourth time, blocked an initiative to tag Jaish-e Mohammad chief Masood Azhar as a “global terrorist” by the United Nations Security Council.
The move by Beijing, which considers Pakistan an “all-weather ally”, came as the Security Council was to take up a resolution on the matter, days after the February 14 Jaish attack in Pulwama in which 40 CRPF men were killed.
India said it was “disappointed” by the Chinese government.
