Drug de-addiction awareness prog held at Central Jail Kotbhalwal Jammu

Jammu: An awareness program on drug de-addiction was held at Central Jail Kotbhalwal here Thursday under the aegis of Art of Living NGO.
At the anti-drug program, speakers highlighted the ill effects of drug addiction and ways to cure it. Some inmates also shared their life experiences regarding drug addiction.
During the program, inmates and staff took a pledge of no to drugs and for working towards eradicating the menace. They also pledged to keep jails drugs free.
Senior Superintendent Kotbhalwal Jail Dinesh Sharma, Medical Officer Kotbhalwal Jail, and Art of Living Coordinator Chamail Singh also spoke on the occasion and informed inmates regarding causes, prevention and treatment of drug abuse.
A meditation-cum-yoga classroom was also inaugurated at Central Jail Kotbhalwal by Senior Superintendent Dinesh Sharma in presence of Coordinator Chamail Singh, Medical Officer Kotbhalwal Jail, and other jail staff and inmates.
