Uri: Leading political activist from Uri Najeeb Naqvi on Sunday sought cash relief and construction of bunkers for the shelling and firing hit people in Kamalkote Jabda and Batad area of border town Uri where several houses were damaged and over a half dozen people were injured in cross LoC firing.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Naqvi regretted that government has not taken any initiative to save the life and property of the people in the said shelling and firing hit areas where the life has become miserable for firing and shelling victims.
Saying that the people in the firing and shelling hit areas are not able to even move out of their houses, Naqvi sought immediate measures for shifting of shelling and firing victims to safer places. He urged the Governor’s administration to provide cash relief to the cross LoC firing victims and construct bunkers on priority the way bunkers have been constructed and cash relief has been distributed in shelling hit Rajouri and Samba areas of Jammu.
