Jammu:The death toll in yesterday’s grenade blast at Jammu bus stand has mounted to two after an injured hailing from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The 32-year-old breathed his last in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
Singh was injured during the blast but he left home without undergoing treatment, sources said, adding that after deteriorating conditions, he has been shifted to the hospital for treatment. Earlier, an Uttarakhand resident died Thursday at GMC hospital after he received grievous injuries in the blast.
More than 30 civilians were injured after a grenade ripped through Jammu bus stand. Later in the evening, police while addressing a presser said that grenade thrower has been arrested at Nagrota who they identified as Yasir Javid of Kulgam, saying he was tasked by a Hizb militant to carry out this attack.
However, all the mainstream and pro-freedom leaders condemned the blast in Jammu. Hizbul Mujahideen as per reports have also condemned the blast.
