DC Sringar calls on banks to join hands with administration

Srinagar : Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, who is also the Chief Executive Officer Srinagar Smart City Project, Friday called on the banks operating in the district to join hands with the administration as stakeholders in the implementation of the Smart City project.
The DC who was speaking in meeting with Lead District Manager Srinagar and Branch Heads of all banks operating in the district asked the banks to play their role as identified in the Corporate Social Responsibility and assist the administration in its Green Srinagar Initiative aimed at making Srinagar green through meaningful and result-oriented plantation across the district to start with.
He said more than financing, the administration requires stakeholdership from banks. He said the latter will help create and inculcate a sense of community involvement which is an important factor in ensuring success of this important initiative.
