Srinagar: Six policemen and two prisoners were injured in a road accident in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Official sources said that a police vehicle was transporting two accused persons from Sub-Jail Mattan to Court Complex Kulgam. “The vehicles in met with an accident in Anantnag,” they said, adding both the accused and six policemen accompanying them were injured.
They said the injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where their health condition is stated to be stable. “Few of the injured have been discharged after receiving preliminary medical treatment,” they added.
