Srinagar /March, 5: Two militants were on Tuesday morning killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Tral area of Pulwama disitrict in South Kashmir after forces launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
Police in a statement issued on Tuesday while confirming the killing of two militants killed in the gunfight said ‘ the two militants killed in the gunfight in Tral area of South Kashmir have been identified as Adfar Fayaz Parray son of Fayaz Ahmad Parray resident of Gulshanpora Tral and Irfan Ahmad Rather son of Ghulam Hassan Rather resident of Shariefabad Tral’ adding that ‘both the slain militants were affiliated with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit and ere affiliated with proscribed terror outfit HM. They were involved in conspiring and executing several attacks and were wanted by the law for their complicity in a series of crimes including attack on security establishments and civilians’.
Says that arms & ammunition including rifles were recovered from the site of encounter,Police in its statement said ‘all these materials have been taken in the case records for further investigation and to probe their complicity in other cases.’
