Srinagar, Mar 03 : Two militants were killed and one more CRPF man succumbed to injuries Sunday morning when the gunfight entered its 3rd consecutive day in Babagund village of Handwara area of Kupwara district.
Srinagar based army’s spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia said, two militants were killed in the ongoing gunfight in Babagund village of Handwara area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and the operation is on.
Meanwhile, one more CRPF man injured in the gunfight succumbed to injuries taking the death toll of government forces to five. As already reported one civilian was killed during clashes near the gunfight site Friday last week. The total death toll has mounted to eight including five forces personnel, two militants and a civilian.
Mobile internet services continue to remain suspended in the area for the third consecutive day.
