Kathua: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rohit Khajuria Friday chaired meetings regarding implementation of PM-SYM scheme, appointment of Nodal Officers for General elections and Rent assessment committee.
While reviewing the preparations regarding implementation of Prime Minister Shram Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM) scheme in Kathua district, DC directed all the line departments to mobilize the un-organized workers in the age group of 18 to 40 year and with monthly income less than 15000 for registration under this scheme.
Stating that the department wise Common Service Centre will be established in each block for hassle free registration of worker, the DC fixed department wise target and directed the officers to submit daily appraisal about the target achieved under the scheme in DC Office.
During the meet, Deputy Director, Employment, D C Bhatti, informed that all the NREGA workers, construction workers, Anganwari workers, Helpers and ASHA workers of district Kathua within age group of 18 to 40 years are to be registered for this pension scheme in which 50% monthly contribution is to be made by the subscriber and the remaining 50% will be borne by the Government.
To ensure smooth conduct of General Elections, the DC also chaired a meeting regarding appointment of Nodal Officers.
Nodal Officers for implementing Model Code of Conduct, Law and Order, Transport Management, Training, SVEEP, Expenditure Monitoring, EVM/VVPATs and other election related activities were appointed.
DEO also directed the Dy. DEO to conduct awareness programmes under SVEEP at block levels for greater participation in the forthcoming elections. He further directed all the concerned officers to review all the arrangements for simultaneous polls and stressed on providing assured minimum facilities to the voters at polling stations like Ramp, toilet, electricity and drinking water facility.
Earlier, DC also chaired a meeting of Rent Assessment Committee and held detailed discussion with concerned departments which are functioning from rented accommodations in the district and with the owners of these buildings.
A total of 9 cases came under discussion which were pertaining to different departments running in private buildings and were approved by the committee.
Among others present in the meeting were ADDC, Shubra Sharma, ADC, Ghansham Singh, ACD, Sukhpaul Singh, DyDEO, Ashwani Kumar, ACR, Devinder Paul, DTO, Nagesh Jamwal, DIO, CAO, CMO, CEO, ARTO, DEPO and other officers.
