Delegation of Fruit Association Sopore calls on DC

Baramulla: A delegation of Fruit Association Sopore led by its President Fayaz Ahmad Malik Friday met Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo here and appraised him with various issues pertaining to horticulture sector, besides other issues confronting the smooth functioning of Fruit Mandi Sopore.
The President sought road widening for the smooth vehicular movement to the Mandi, augmentation of drinking water facility and highlighted other issues of public importance.
The DC gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all their genuine grievances shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their timely redressal. He termed the horticulture sector as the backbone of State’s economy and said that district administration shall take every possible step towards its promotion.
Earlier, the delegation congratulated the DC for assuming the charge and wished him best for the future endeavours.
