Srinagar/Feb, 27 : Senior political activist Najeeb Naqvi on Wednesday voiced his serious concern over the sufferings of shelling hit border populations in frontier Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement issued on Wednesday Naqvi while seeking immediat attention of the government towards the people living in the areas close to the line of control (LoC) in Uri said ‘they are worst sufferers due to shelling and deserve immediate attention of the government’
Naqvi urged Governor’s administration to look into the plight of border areas of uri .He said the since the shelling is started in most areas of uri and people of the area are in great trouble with inadequate facilities like shelter health care and availability of ration to avoid any untoward incident. the people of border areas always remains sufferer as ans when situation remains tense. He impressed upon the Governor’s administration to arrange shelters and health care facilities on war footing basis to save the precious lives of people which are vulnerable in such a war like situation. He appealed the administration especially the district administration to keep medical facilities sufficient ration available at the stores . Demanding shelter sheds and other safety measures on top priority,Naqvi said ‘ 24×7 control rooms be established at all police stations to keep a watch on the situation so that public can have access in case of any eventuality’
