Jammu/Feb, 26: Fresh landslides forced the closure Srinagar-Jammu highway and the road clearance operation is underway to restore the movement of the traffic on the highway shut frequently by landslides in Banihal-Ramban area.
Traffic police officials overseeing the movement of the traffic on highway said ‘ landslide triggered by rain shut Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramsoo sector following which the road clearance operation was started, adding that “We are hopeful of restoring the highway for traffic in the afternoon. Intending travellers must not undertake the journey without contacting our control rooms in Jammu and Srinagar’.
