Bandipore/Feb,23: A spontaneous shutdown in north Kashmir’s Bandipora town on Saturday hits normal life in the town after reports said that a local militant was killed in a gunfight with the forces in Sopore Friday this week.
All shops and business established were closed while traffic remained off the roads. Witnesses the town was shut after reports started doing rounds that one of the militants killed in Sopore gunfight was from Qazipora village of the district. However, a senior police official said that there was no confirmation so far about the killing of a local militant in Sopore gunfight. The youth ,according to witnesses, blocked the roads in Watapora, Qazipora and Onagam villages.
