Jaipur: A Pakistan prisoner died in a clash with local inmates in Jaipur Central Jail on Wednesday afternoon.
Inspector General of Police (Jail) Rupendra Singh told mediapersons here that while watching TV in a room of the jail, the inmates indulged in confrontation and someone threw a stone at the Pakistan national, in which he received a head injury and died on the spot.
The Pakistan national was identified as Shakarulla, a member of militant organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba, arrested in 2010. He was sentenced to life in 2017.
The IGP categorically denied that the incident was a repercussion of Pulwama attack.
