Budgam : Intense clashes erupted between youth and government forces in Soibugh area of district Budgam in central Kashmir after the reports about attack on a local youth spread in the area.
According to reports, youth hit the streets this afternoon and started shouting anti-government and pro-militant slogans to protest against the attack on a local youth in Kolkata.
However, government forces present in the area tried to disperse them, but the youth pelted stones on them following which forces resorted to tear gas shelling, thus leading to clashes in the area.
Earlier, a video went viral on Tuesday in which a boy from Soibugh was attacked by a mob in Kolkata. Meanwhile, a complete shutdown was observed in the area to protest against the attack on a local youth from Soibug in Kolkata.(KNO)
