Budgam: District Development Commissioner, Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Thursday visited various Agricultural and Tehsil offices in Budgam to take stock of the ongoing farmers’ data collection and its computerized updation for PM- Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme benefits across the district.
During her visit to Agriculture Office Naraspora and SDM office Khansaheb, DDC directed the BDOs to arrange additional computer operators and extra laptops and computers to expedite computerization process of the data.
She stressed that data should be collected from farmers expeditiously and directed Patwaris to register genuine farmers only after proper verification.
Chief Agriculture Officer Budgam who accompanied the DDC during the visit to different data collection centers said as per the latest data (tentative) available there were 88275 of Farm Operating Families (FOF) registered with the department to receive the benefits.
The DDC stressed upon concerned to generate massive awareness about the scheme among people through Gram Sabhas and other programs so that no genuine farmer family is left out of the scheme.
Meanwhile, the DDC also visited the Sub-District Hospital Kremshore in Khansahab and took stock of the health services being provided to the patients there. She also enquired about shifting of the hospital to the new building and directed concerned to expedite on the same.
The DDC inspected different wards including the OPD, X-Ray centre, Laboratory. The DDC while stressing on the better patient care, emphasized on cleanliness and sanitation, besides proper waste and garbage disposal at the hospital.
The DDC also met various patients and enquired about health facilities being provided to them, listened to their grievances and gave on spot directions to the concerned for prompt redressal.
