13 Corporaters join PDP

Srinagar: At least 13 corporators joined People’s Democratic Party on Tuesday.
Reports said that the corporators who joined PDP are the supporters of Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran. Those who joined the party are Sumaira Akhtar, Nazira, Inayat Ahmed, Aqib Renzu, Arif Baba, Waheed Dar, Farooq Mir, Ashraf Palapori, Fancy Ashraf Jan, Shezad, Nighat, Kulsuma and Firdous Ahmed.
All these corporters joined the party in presence of senior party leaders Abdul Rehman Veeri, Muhammad Khurshid Aalam, Muhammad Ashraf Mir and Ajaz Ahmed Rather.
Sources said that SMC Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran is likely to join PDP in coming days.
PDP senior leader Muhammad Khurshid Aalam told news agency said that besides these 13 corporters, 4 others were also ready to join the party, however, they are stranded in Jammu. He said PDP has become the party with largest number of Corporaters in its kitty. He said that the joining of Corporaters implies that PDP led by Mehbooba Mufti is a vibrant force that is pro-people.
