JK Govt constitutes committee to examine state toll tax

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday formed a committee head by director Industries Jammu to examine the state toll tax.
In an order, the general administration department (GAD) said the sanction was accorded to the constitution of a committee to examine the level of Toll Tax being levied on various products entering the State, production of those products within the State, export of locally produced products from the State and modifications, if any, as may be needed in the levy of Toll Tax. The committee will comprise the Director, Industries, Jammu, who will be the chairperson of the committee while Additional Commissioner, State Taxes Department (Administration & Enforcement, Kashmir), Additional Commissioner, State Taxes Department (Administration & Enforcement, Jammu), Representative of Directorate of Industries, Kashmir and three representatives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
