Ang: District Development Commissioner Mohammad Younis Malik Monday reviewed the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri KisanSamman Nidhi (PMKSN) scheme here at a meeting of the concerned departments.
Threadbare discussions, with regard to various aspects of the scheme, including collection of data, identification and verification of the beneficiaries, validation, uploading of the data, deployment of the officials and other related aspects of the scheme were held in the meeting through a Power Point Presentation. The meeting was informed that Under PMKSN, land holding farmer families, having cultivable land up to two hectares, will be provided direct income support at the rate of Rs 6,000 per annum. This income support will be transferred directly into their bank accounts in three equal instalments of Rs 2000 each. The program will be effective from December 1, 2018.
On the occasion, the DDC said the main objective of this scheme is to provide assured income to small and marginal farmers. He stressed upon the concerned for transparent and speedy identification of the beneficiaries so that the benefit goes to the deserving well in time. He also directed the concerned departments to work with coordination and greater synergy for the better implementation of the scheme.
The meeting attended by ADCs, ACD, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Technical Director NIC Anantnag all the Tehsildars and BDOs of the district and other Officers and Officials of the Revenue, Agriculture and Horticulture departments Anantnag.
