Srinagar/Feb, 11:A shutdown called by Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Hurriyat Conference  G) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Molvi Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik JKLF Chairman on the eve of 35th hanging anniversary of JKLF founded Mohammad Maqbool Bhat on Monday hit normal life a cross Kashmir  Life remained paralyzed across Kashmir

Reports said all shops and other business establishments remained closed and passenger transport off the roads in summer capital Srinagar. Private vehicles were very rarely plying on the roads. The attendance in government offices was also very thin.

On Sunday evening, scores of people staged a candlelight protest in Trehgam the ancestral village to commemorate his death anniversary. Bhat the JKLF founder was executed on this day in Tihar jail in the year 1984 and buried inside the jail aftehis execution. The resistance leadership of Jammu and Kashmir has been demanding return of the mortal remain of JKLF founder for the last 35 years.
