MeT department forecasts rains in Jammu, snow in Kashmir for another three days from Feb 13 onwards

Srinagar/Feb, 10: Director Meteorological department in Srinagar has said rains and snow are likely to be in Jammu and Kashmir for three days from February 13.

Director Meteorological department Sonam Lotus said “We are expecting another spell of rains in plains and snowfall over higher reaches of Jammu, Kashmir and parts of Ladakh region from February 13-15th,” adding that “light snow on western parts of Jammu and Kashmir may commence on 12th Feb late night or 13th early morning and will increase in intensity and distribution as the day progresses. Looks like, this will be followed by another spell around 18-19th Feb. ”

He also said that most of the weather models are showing frequent spells of WDs in whole February which means more precipitation in coming weeks, the weatherman added.
