Bandipora: Handicrafts Deptt to hold awareness camp on February 14

Bandipore: The Department of Handicrafts is organising an awareness camp for artists of the district on February 14 (Thursday) at Municipal Town Hall, Bandipora.
Assistant Director Handicrafts Bandipora said during the awareness camp various craft instructors will create awareness about various crafts including Sozni, Carpet Weaving, Wood carving, Chain Stitch, Aari staple, Gabba training, Staple embroidery and other crafts.
He said the department will also highlight various schemes that are in place for the benefit of the artisans to promote the art, besides raising the socio-economic status of the artisans. The Department will also showcase it’s the products created by its trainees of different crafts such as Sozni, Carpet and Wood Carving etc.
The department appealed the artisan fraternity of the district to attend the camp to get awareness regarding different schemes of the department.
